Safety

One of Iceland's tallest waterfalls, above Lagarfljót southwest of Egilsstaðir. Reaching the falls is a 40–60 minute uphill walk each way on a stepped path that ices over — at night stay at the car park rather than starting the climb in the dark.

Parking

Car park signed off Route 933, with an open outlook north across Lagarfljót. Facilities are seasonal.
