Safety

Highland F-road F232 (Öldufellsleið) — 4WD only. The ford crosses Bláfjallakvísl directly above the falls; check depth on road.is and never cross in the dark or in meltwater. Summer only, roughly late July to early September.

Parking

Small pull-off just past the ford. No facilities, no phone signal — carry an emergency kit and tell someone your route.
